A story of Healing through Faith

What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. " So God got my attention then and He said "Okay Ted, there is no hay around and there is just you and me... do you believe I can move this mountain?? And knowing that he had moved many mountains dealing with failing eyesight, every time I got in the car I knew that He would deliver me from things that I could never explain to anyone else, but I had just come to accept that my eyesight was going to be my "thorn in the flesh" as Paul put it. My Aunt Mary was a missionary to North and South Carolina and she used to put her hands on my eyes and pray that God would heal them and I believed that God could heal them, but I didn't make it personal to believe that he was going to heal mine. That is the secret in this case. I knew that God could heal me, just knowing that it was His Will for us to be whole and not lying in a hospital bed for 3 months, I knew that it was His will to make me whole then. So I said "Lord I know that you can heal my broken body right here and now. I claim the victory of Mark 11:23 and I ask believing that you will move this mountain. Believing is the key... I could have asked forever, but until I really believed that he would do it for me, and thanked him and praised him for doing it, nothing would have happened. However, note that AFTER I thanked him for doing it, I felt a profound warming of my entire bone structure like I have never felt before. I have heard people say that they have felt that sort of thing, but it was a new experience for me and it only lasted for about 2 or 3 seconds. But I then knew that I had been touched by His Power and I fell asleep.. After I woke again about 3 am, I felt a tingling in my left side and I thought "Lord, do you want me to get up and start dancing" (smile)... Well, I didn't feel the pain in my pelvis that I had felt earlier, so I raised my left leg up until my knee was at my chest and I knew that my pelvis was no longer the problem and my back was not weak from a broken vertebrae.. When I went back for x-rays on my birthday (2 weeks after the accident), the doctor had to ask the technician for the original x-rays... for he could not believe his eyes. There was no trace of a break in pelvis or vertebrae yet there was a clear evidence in the original. He has never repeated x-rays of that area since. I was walking with a helper after my 2nd week in Rehab and was home and walking around the house in 4 weeks after the accident. I broke all rehab records for time of recovery because God not only healed bones, but speeded the healing of tendons and muscles as well.
Well, that is only half of the story. As I was able to get out and around, I noticed that I could see better without my glasses than with them, so I made an appointment with my Ophthalmologist (who I have seen for the past 20 years) and he said "Ted, I have never seen your eyes in better shape than they are now. You are reading characters on the 20/25 scale." Well, I have been wearing glasses since I was 2 years old and I have never had vision this good. So you see, God let me fall so he could heal my body including my eyes and let me tell the world that His promises obviously apply to us today when we take Him at His Word... Asking AND BELIEVING in a PERSONAL way (not an abstract way). I am now seeing things that you people used to tell me about and my life has really changed. I have shared this story with people in various churches and have received feedback that they have shared it with others and even on the internet. I am so very thankful for His Grace which continues to be sufficient and I know you can have daily victory from it too.
