Angels From God, Appear...Very Near
It is known that Angels serve
God, carry out His Will, and gloridy God!
Some may never see God's Angels with
earthly eyes or know they truly exist. Some are unaware of the many ways God has
sent His Angels to protect and guide us. We'd like to share the
stories of people who take joy in expressing how real, Angels sent by our
Father in Heaven are.

Guiding Angels ~
Sent by God
every
time a bell rings, an Angel gets their wings
It was during the Christmas holidays,
and my husband, two children, and I went shopping in a larger city 100 miles
away. There we met my sister and her husband. We had a full day of shopping
and visiting, and not in a hurry to return home. The day had been cool but
sunny. We had not heard any bad forecasts for our area. So when we left for
home after 11:00 that night, we were tired but happy and not expecting any
driving problems. We had made it as far as 36 miles from home when it began to snow quite
furiously, but the roads were O.K. The closer we got to home, though, the
roads were worse, and the snow was coming down so hard we had trouble
staying in our lane of the highway. My husband slowed down to 10 miles an
hour, but still we had problems staying on the road. Unable to see the road
and distinguish it from the ditches and canyons, I began to pray for help
from my guardian angel. I asked for him to guide my husband through this
terrifying time. I called on my husband's angel and my children's angels for
help. I picked up our cellular phone and called my sister. They had made it
home to another town with no problems. I asked for them to pray for us. Sis
and her husband immediately knelt and prayed for our safety. By now my husband's eyes were so tired of straining, we were weaving all
over the road. It seemed we were the only ones on the road this late.
Suddenly from a distance behind, I spotted a headlight. It was coming at us
at a remarkable speed considering the road conditions and heaviness of the
snow falling. In a short moment it was right behind us. I told my husband
that someone else must be just as insane as we were. Then around us came the
headlight. As it zoomed past, we could tell it was an old pick-up with dents
and little paint, and, of course, sporting one headlight. But as it moved in front of us, we could follow a definite set of tire
tracks. The pick-up was still traveling faster than what we could keep up,
and soon was out of sight. But we could now follow the straightest set of
tracks right down the middle of the road. We followed them for several
miles. The snow did not cover them. As we neared home the air cleared, and
we could go faster ourselves. We never did see the pick-up going down the
road, but we still followed the tracks. Then just as quickly as the
headlight had appeared before, the tracks suddenly ended. There in the
middle of the highway those tracks ended. No turning, no exiting, no pulling
off to the side, these tracks just ended. I looked at my husband and told
him I knew who was in that pick-up. He looked at me with a surprised face
and asked who. It was my guardian angel, or yours, or one of the children's. He shook his head affirmatively as we pulled into our drive. We both
thanked God for our safe arrival, and for giving us our guardian angels.
Even if it's a one-eyed one. --Nola Jones

In humility, I pray that I
might, in relating this story, give you a gift my little son,
On July 22nd I was in-route to Washington DC for a business trip. It was all
so very ordinary, until we landed in Denver for a plane change. As I
collected my belongings from the overhead bin, an announcement was made for
Mr. Lloyd Glenn to see the Customer Service Representative immediately. I
thought nothing of it until I reached the door to leave the plane and I
heard a gentleman asking every male if they were Mr. Glenn.
The return flight seemed to last forever, but finally I arrived at the
hospital six hours after the garage door had come down. When I walked into
the intensive care unit, nothing could have prepared me to see my little son
laying so still on a great big bed with tubes and monitors everywhere. He
was on a respirator. I glanced at my wife who stood and tried to give me a
reassuring smile. It all seemed like a terrible dream. I was filled-in with
the details and given a guarded prognosis. Brian was going to live, and the
preliminary tests indicated that his heart was ok, two miracles in and of
themselves. But only time would tell if his brain received any damage.
Throughout the seemingly endless hours, my wife was calm. She felt that
Brian would eventually be all right. I hung on to her words and faith like a
lifeline.
All that night and the next day Brian remained unconscious. It seemed like
forever since I had left for my business trip the day before. Finally at two
o'clock that afternoon, our son regained consciousness and sat up uttering
the most beautiful words I have ever heard spoken. He said, "Daddy hold me"
and he reached for me with his little arms. By the next day he was
pronounced as having no neurological or physical deficits, and the story of
his miraculous survival spread throughout the hospital. You cannot imagine
our gratitude and joy. As we took Brian we felt a unique reverence for the
life and love of our Heavenly
Almost a month later to the day of the incident, Brian awoke from his
afternoon nap and said, "Sit down mommy. I have something to tell you." At
this time in his life, Brian usually spoke in small phrases, so to say a
large sentence surprised my wife. She sat down with him on his bed and he
began his sacred and remarkable story.
Angels From God ~
Sent by God
To
Impart wisdom, comfort and healing miracles
Brian, gave our family one summer day last year.
At this point I knew something was wrong and my heart sunk. When I got off
the plane a solemn-faced young man came toward me and said, "Mr. Glenn,
there is an emergency at your home. I do not know what the emergency is, or
who is involved, but I will take you to the phone so you can call the
hospital." My heart was now
pounding,
but the will to be calm took over. Woodenly, I followed this stranger to the
distant telephone where I called the number they gave me for the Mission
Hospital. My call was put through to the trauma center where I learned that
my three-year-old son had been trapped underneath the automatic garage door
for several minutes, and when my wife had found him, he was dead. CPR had
been performed by a neighbor, who is a doctor, and the paramedics continued
the treatment as Brian was transported to the hospital.
By the time of my call, Brian was revived and they believed he would live,
but they did not know how much damage was done to his brain, nor to his
heart. They explained that the door had completely closed to his little
sternum right over his heart. He had been severely crushed. After speaking
with the medical staff, my wife sounded worried but not hysterical, and I
took comfort in her calmness.
Father that comes to those who brush death so closely. In the days that
followed there was a special spirit about our home. The two older children
were much closer to their little brother.
My wife and I were much closer to each other, and all of us were very close
as a whole family. Life took on a less stressful pace. Perspective seemed
to be more focused, and balance much easier to gain and maintain. We felt
deeply blessed. Our gratitude was truly profound. The story is not over
(smile)!
"Do you remember when I got stuck under the garage door? Well it was so
heavy and it hurt really bad. I called to you, but you wouldn't hear me. I
started to cry, but then it hurt too bad.
And then the birdies came."
"The birdies?" my wife asked puzzled. "Yes," he replied.
"The birdies made a whooshing sound and flew into the garage. They took care
of me." "They did?" "Yes" he said. "One of the birdies came and got you. She
came to tell you I got stuck under the door." A sweet reverent feeling
filled the room. The spirit was so strong and yet lighter than air. My wife
realized that a three-year-old had no concept of death and spirits, so he
was referring to the beings who came to him from beyond as "birdies" because
they were up in the air like birds that fly. "What did the birdies look
like?" she asked. Brian answered, They were so beautiful. They were dressed
in white, all white. Some of them had green and white. But some of them had
on just white." "Did they say anything?" "Yes" he answered. "They told me
the baby would be alright." "The baby?" my wife asked confused. Brian
answered. "The baby laying on the garage floor." He went on, "You came out
and opened the garage door and ran to the baby. You told the baby to stay
and not leave."
My wife nearly collapsed upon hearing this, for she had indeed gone and
knelt beside Brian’s body and seeing his crushed chest and recognizable
features, knowing he was already dead, she looked up round her and
whispered,
"Don't leave us Brian, please stay if you can." As she listened to Brian
telling her the words she had spoken, she realized that the spirit had left
his body and was looking down from above on this little lifeless form. "Then
what happened?" she asked. "We went on a trip." He said, "far, far away." He
grew agitated
trying to say the things he didn't seem to have the words for. My wife tried
to calm and comfort him, and let him know it would be okay. He struggled
with wanting to tell something that obviously was very important to him, but
finding the words was difficult. "We flew so fast up in the air. They're so
pretty Mommy." he added. "And there is lots and lots of birdies."
My wife was stunned. Into her mind the sweet comforting spirit
enveloped her more soundly, but with an urgency she had never before known.
Brian went on to tell her that the "birdies"
had told him that he had to come back and tell everyone about the "birdies".
He said they brought him back to the house and that a big fire truck, and an
ambulance were there.
A man was bringing the baby out on a white bed and he tried to tell the man
that the baby would be okay, but the man couldn't hear him. He said the
birdies told him he had to go with the ambulance, but they would be near
him. He said, they were so pretty and so peaceful, and he didn't want to
come back. Then the bright light came.
He said that the light was so bright and so warm, and he loved the bright
light so much. Some one was in the bright light and put their arms around
him, and told him, "I love you but you have to go back. You have to play
baseball, and tell everyone about the birdies."
Then the person in the bright light kissed him and waved bye-bye. Then
whoosh, the big sound came and they went into the clouds. The story went on
for an hour.
He
taught us that "birdies" were always with us, but we don't see them because
we look with our eyes and we don't hear them because we listen with our
ears. But they are always there, you can only see them in here (he put his
hand over his heart). They whisper the things to help us to do what is right
because they love us so much. Brian continued, stating, "I have a plan,
Mommy. You have a plan. Daddy has a plan. Everyone has a plan. We must all
live our plan and keep our promises. The birdies help us to do that cause
they love us so much." In the weeks that followed, he often came to us and
told all, or part of it again and again. Always the story remained the same.
The details were never changed or out of order. A few times he added further
bits of information and clarified the message he had already delivered. It
never ceased to amaze us how he could tell such detail and speak beyond his
ability when he talked about his birdies. Everywhere he went, he told
strangers about the "birdies". Surprisingly, no one ever looked at him
strangely when he did this. Rather, they always got a softened look on their
face and smiled. Needless to say, we have not been the same ever since that
day, and I pray we never will be.

I
was walking along a country road one calm and cloudy day
Feeling down about the problems that had seemed to come my way
My pain was very great and my tears I could not hide
And was calling God to help me as I was hurting deep inside
I then thought about what I've believed and how I've rarely called
For sometimes I have wondered if God were there at all
As I lifted up my head and looked down that road a spell
I spotted someone coming - from the distance hard to tell
As he got a little closer I could then see all the signs
Of someone who'd been down that road quite a number of times
His clothes were old and dusty and his shoes were pretty worn
But there seemed a glow about him - at least I could have sworn
His face appeared real friendly as he peered up in the sky
He said, the weather is pretty calm today, hope the rain will pass us by
He first talked about the weather, but there seemed to be much more
That we both had in common, except for what we wore
He started talking about his life and the places he had been
And he spoke as if he knew me, like we were next-of-kin
From the problems that he had, to the happy times he found
Our likeness was uncanny and was becoming more profound
We had so much in common - I couldn't believe how much alike,
That I decided to tag along, we continued on our hike
He said he's from all over and his name was just like mine,
And hoped one day that we would meet as he had a real short time
I was feeling sort of baffled, as we went on with our walk
But he had held my interest, so I listened as he talked
He said, I know you're hurting - as your life has been so hard
But it seems today that you found God, where once you'd disregard
From the point that I was calling and was asking for God's hand,
Is the point where he had first appeared, as this was in God’s plan
He said to take more time for prayer - that I could bend God's ear
That He is always listening, and He is always near
God knows about my struggles but better times will be ahead,
As long as I keep believing and will no longer be mislead.
We then turned onto a sidewalk and now very close to home,
And it was then it struck me that I was suddenly now alone.
This stopped me in my tracks and I began to call his name
And it was then I understood, why to me that day he came.
I then realized God had heard me, as my Angel He then sent
To relieve me of my worries, and all my discontent.
Today I pray more often and feel blessed with my God's Love
As He was there and listening - and sent an Angel from above
Gabriel's Visit
by Teri Hughes
It was August 16, 1994 when I awoke with a jolt after a startling dream. (The question that still remains is that was it a dream, or a vision, or an angelic visitation sent by God?) In the dream I was standing on the deck of my mother's house with my mom, and a friend named Patti. We heard a sound, and turned to see a giant camel walking towards us with the most magnificent creature I had ever seen riding on it. It looked like a man in a white robe; a golden glow emanated from him like the sun. He had huge fluffy wings that flowed up above him and down to the ground behind him. I recognized him at once, and I said, "Oh hello, Gabriel, what are you doing here?" He pointed at my mom and said "I have come to tell you that you have one more day to prepare for going home to Jesus. Get your life in order, and I will be back." And with that he galloped off down the road, and up into the sky, disappearing into the clouds.
I awoke in fear that either my mom or I only had one more DAY to live! I called my pastor Bob Langfield, and told him about the dream. He told me that a day is as a year to the Lord, and to try and not let it upset me. My daily devotional for the day said "into His Hands I commit my spirit". When I told my mom about the dream, she was very silent. She started shaking while I told her. She said that she, too, had a dream last night; however she would not tell me what it was. She hugged me in tears, and told me she loved me. She then spent the next year literally preparing for her death. She drew up a living will and trust, gave possessions away to who she wanted to, and went on trips she had always wanted to go on.
One was a cruise with my Godmother, Marion Branch. During this cruise, they were at dinner one night, and my mom started coughing violently. They thought that she might be choking, so one of the other guests did a heimleck procedure on her, but nothing came out. She sank to the floor, not moving or breathing for a few moments. Then all of a sudden she sat up and asked why everybody was staring at her! She got up, brushed herself off, and went back to her cabin and went to bed. The next morning Marion asked how she was feeling. She said that she felt much better since that nice doctor in the long white coat, and grey hair and beard, came and helped her get up at the dinner table. Mom said that the doctor told her to get up because it was not time for her to go then. Marion just stared at her, speechless. Mom asked what was wrong, that she looked like she had seen a ghost. Marion said that there was NO doctor in that room that night. Nobody came and helped her up. The ship doctor was not on duty that night, only a nurse, and that the doctor was a young man with black hair and never wore a white coat! Mom got mad at her thinking she was losing her mind.
When mom got home she took me out to lunch. I asked, "How was your trip?" She just handed me a picture of herself and my Godmother taken on board the ship, and said "This is the picture I want you to put in my obituary when I die." Then she said, "I died on the ship." I said, "WHAT???" She said, "Yes, I died, but then Jesus came and told me it was not my time yet, but the time is coming soon." I cried and told her I did not want to hear that.
On the morning of August 6, 1995 my mom went into a coma suddenly from brain cancer that had metastasized from a melanoma skin cancer on her arm. It basically had exploded in her head. We rushed her to the hospital, where she stayed in a coma for sixteen days, and endured two brain surgeries. On August 16, 1995, I was with her in her room, and I saw tears fall out of her eyes and drip down her cheeks. I felt a whoosh by my head, as if there were angels flying by. She smiled, and God took her home.
It was not until a week later, that I suddenly remembered my dream. I had written it down in my journal, so I ran and got it out and reread it. I was breathless when I saw the date. It was exactly one year before my mom died! And the daily devotional for the day she died was "into His Hand I commit my spirit", the same as the day of my dream a year before. She died exactly 1 year to the day from my dream when Gabriel told her she had "one day to prepare". I thank God for creating His angels to comfort and guide us
